FEATURES

CAMPING FEATURES +
All campsites share access to restrooms and showers located near the reception area, ensuring that water, a scarce desert resource, is responsibly managed. Campsites 2, 3, 4, and 5 are reserved exclusively for overlanders, offering added convenience for travellers without their own vehicles.
SHADED, SECLUDED OR SCENIC +
No two campsites at Spitzkoppe are the same. Some are nestled between dramatic boulders, others lie beneath the shade of ancient trees, and a few offer sweeping views of the surrounding desert plains. If you're lucky, you might even find a cave-like spot — perfect for ditching the tent and sleeping under the stars. With a generous layout designed to prioritise privacy and peace, the camp invites you to find a spot that truly suits your style of stay. (For extra privacy, enquire at reception about the most secluded sites.)
HERITAGE AND ENVIRONMENTAL CARE +
Spitzkoppe is a protected heritage site, safeguarded under the Namibian Heritage Act and Environmental Laws. Stringent guidelines from an Environmental Impact Assessment and Area Management Plan are followed to preserve the site’s cultural and natural treasures, including ancient rock paintings and the unique desert ecosystem.
STAY CONNECTED AND NOURISHED +
While there is no Wi-Fi at the campsites, guests can access connectivity at the reception and restaurant areas. The restaurant provides food and beverages, making it easy to enjoy refreshments during your stay.
A TRUE WILDERNESS ADVENTURE +
Spitzkoppe Rest Camp offers a rare chance to disconnect from the digital world and reconnect with nature. Whether hiking, exploring the ancient rock formations, or simply enjoying the peace of the desert, Spitzkoppe is the perfect base for an unforgettable adventure.

Nestled in Namibia’s stunning desert landscape, Spitzkoppe Rest Camp offers a memorable camping experience surrounded by breathtaking granite rock formations. The peaceful atmosphere, incredible starry skies, and majestic sunsets make it an ideal destination for nature lovers and adventurers alike.

RESTAURANT

Not quite a Michelin star, but we do have the best stargazing in the desert. Our restaurant consist's of a lapa area decorated with "shebeen" themed décor.

Enjoy breakfast, light lunches, and dinners with a fresh salad and a cold beer under the stars. It is also the best spot for the perfect sundowner.

Pre-packed braai packs are also available to purchase here.
We would also like it if you could bring along a tin from your country so that we can put it up in the new lapa - and you will leave a piece of you at Spitzkoppe with us forever!
